Grace Hopper wanted everyone to be able to use the computer,so she designed the first computer language,this enabled people without a mathmatics or a engineering background to understand and contribute to computer programs.

Fame

Grace Hopper is famous because she invented the first computer programming language. She was the first woman to enter the field of computer science.

Childhood

When she was seven,she tinkered with clock parts to see how it worked. She deisgned an elevator for her dollhouse.

Obstacles

When she failed Latin,she studied hard and passed her exams in the next year. It was hard for her to get in the Navy because she was underweight, but she worked hard and convinced the Navy that they needed her.

Fun Facts

They once had a problem with the computer Grace was working on and there was a real bug in the system that made the computer stop working. This is where the term "computer bug" comes from.
